Children's Hospital receives $35,613 donation
Grandmaster Dong hosted his annual martial arts tournament on May 31, 2014 in Richmond, VA. More than 300 competitors and nearly 3,000 spectators were in attendance. This year's event raised $35,613 for the Children's Hospital at VCU bringing our grand total to nearly $390,000 through these events.
Students earn Black Belts from Grandmaster
The semi-annual Black Belt Exam was held in Richmond, VA on April 26,2014. Over 160 students earn black belts ranging in degree from 1st through 5th. After the test, advanced black belts were part of a traditional tea ceremony.
Grandmaster Dong Releases Book in Digital Format
Grandmaster Seung Dong, re-released his most recent book "Where is My Black Belt?" in digital format at Amazon.com. The book, originally released in paperback in 2006, tells a story about martial arts technique and philosophy through eyes of Cookie, the squirrel that lives in the attic of the karate school. 151 pages.
